“Run Into The Shadows,” kicks off the new Magnum album Here Comes The Rain, producing a defiant edge. The guitars and the drums set the scene, producing a beat that gets the blood pumping. The vocals come in and soar. A classic opener that hits on the edge of time, producing a classic.

“Some Kind Of Treachery,” starts with the piano, edging into the contemplative market. A breeze through the competition as the vocals lend themselves to this. The guitars turn heavier as the song progresses, getting the real feel of an anthem.

“Blue Tango,” mixes with the best of them. Shifting and shimmering on a light, swaggering through on the groove.

“The Seventh Darkness,” is simply phenomenal. Trumpets and brass mixing with sledgehammer guitars to produce something simply masterful and dynamic.

“I Wanna Live,” hits the right tonal structure, producing the choral implement and setting up for a grande finale.

“Borderline,” finishes things off nicely. A rocker and a riffer that hits the darkened sun perfectly.

The album is out on 12th January via Steamhammer/SPV.
