STARTING OUT
Blitzkrieg, hailing from Newcastle, UK, are one of the leading lights of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM for short) and have had quite a storied history.
Their first single was entitled Blitzkrieg and soon spawned national recognition, that it was later covered by Metallica brought them international recognition. From there, the band released their debut album A Time Of Changes in 1985, but due to various factors the album never received the level of critical acclaim it should have done.
Blitzkrieg shouldered on however, and though they were plagued by line up changes, and leading man Brian Ross suffered an accident, they have emerged into the 21st century as one of the leading lights of the old guard. Their albums have consistently been of a high quality and recent release Judge Not was as good if not better than anything that any modern day metal band has released.
