“Rendition,” followed by “Reveal The Light Within,” really gets the listener hooked into proceedings. The songs are bombastic and powerful. Their message is one of hope and desire, and a deep seated need to get things out there and enchanted. “Like The River Flows,” produces something truly masterful. The song switches from one root point to another, bringing about a conflagaration of views and opinions that truly rests on the divine inclinations of time. “Fire and Wind,” burnishes the band’s credentials, pushing things up to the top of the extremity, delivering a soaring and punishing movement, working through the timescape that shoulders the burdens of time and space for all to see.
“Until It Rains Again,” gets thoughtful, bringing together some serious riffage and some clear cut melodies to work in the world play. “Emptiness,” slows things down, getting reflective. It brings out some subtler melodies for the listener to really dig their teeth into. “Cages of Rage,” sparks the heaviness again. That opening riff is like a sledgehammer to the gut. Powerfully concocted together to deliver something truly gracious.
“Downfall,” lets rip, bringing together some serious epicness and grace to slither together a song that really lets the listener have it with both barrels. “Lost To Time,” hooks the listener in with the bombastic harmonised opening vocals, as the song progresses, the move toward darkness and chaos comes about, though the band does not let the song loose any of its grandness. A true masterpiece. “Deconstruction,” is the slow finisher that allows the listener to truly enjoy the band’s talents.
The album is out on November 6th via Metal Blade.
