Stephen-Akrasia

Akrasia by Stephen is a fascinating mix of twisting and turning songs that are filled to the brim with sultry melodies and synths that are simply to die for.

Starting off with songs such as “Gratitude,” and “I Never Stay In Love,” you can quite clearly hear where Stephen is going and yet the journey is filled with little twists and turns so as to keep the listener hooked.

Things then change up with “Tracer,” and “Idiot,” which hit a darker tone and soon mix in seductive melodies and vocal lines.

“Delilah,” and “Alien,” are a lesson in contrasts. Where “Delilah,” is soft, “Alien,” is brisk and harsh.

The textures and tonality of the album are ever present as time progresses and the finisher comes in the final few moments of the final track “Hell Of A Night,” which really hits hard.
