SIX MEMBERS

What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences?

We were 6 members at the beginning, so we thought Six to Fix would be a good name. We became 4 members some years ago, but the name remains the same.

We started with classic influences common to all of us: U2, The Killers, etc. But we’ve been listening to a lot of new music in the last years and we are more open to new sounds, from Twenty one pilots to The 1975, Kasabian, or even electronic music, and our sound is more personal now.

How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?

I write songs when I’m walking down the street, at home… everything inspires me: books, films, what I see in the news,  or in the streets… sometimes there are sad or bad themes, but I try to write about the good side of things.

BLENDING

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?

I listen to a lot of music with many different styles. That influences come from bands of the last three decades, so there’s blending between classic pop rock and modern music with new technologies. We have anthemic melodies from the past and electronic sounds and some rhythms from the present.

How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?

We try to imagine ourselves as the audience, as if we didn’t know any of the songs. So we try to attract people with the first songs and then try to keep them entertained. And we try to distribute some of the highlight songs through the whole set. And the ending has to be memorable.

WHAT WORKS

FINISH ALBUM

What plans do you have for the future?

We were recording our next album when we got confined, so the first thing will be going back to the studio and finish the album. And we’ve got some scheduled dates for the next months. We want to release another single alongside the album and we want to schedule more dates for the tour, we’d like to reach a greater audience and maybe tour outside Spain.
