“Pagan Fire,” kicks things off. It takes a defiant stand on the back of the flames, rolling high into the sky with the guitars rolling backwards and forwards on a sharp melody to really get things going. And when they do the vocals bring in a mournful tune. “Orient Eyes,” smacks down, taking the darkened strictures of the past through into the newly divined world of the past and the present. “Death’s Tower,” gallops through, going on the swaggering syncopated rhythm, taking the time to flush out and in. “Whirlwind,” smashes the ground around, pounding things through and demanding to be heard and respected.
“From The Deep Below,” snakes in, torturing the semblance of normalcy before escalating things up several notches. “Room of Illusion,” a song that ventures around, and brings together some fascinating changes, collecting them together into a world of chaos. “August 1972,” growls into being, the acoustics shaking the foundations and laying a misleading trail before the snake eyes come through.
