Ostrogoth , a band who were on the cusp of greatness when unfortunate circumstances took glory from them.
Their first three albums and E.P. were sensational, and here we have a look through them once more.
It starts out with the E.P. Full Moon’s Eyes. And the stand outs “Full Moon’s Eyes,” and “Paris By Night,” which rip into being and really set the tone. Ambient and cascading.
Then we move onto Ecstasy and Danger. This one is the album that really set the tone. And with it we’ve got “Queen of Desire,” a track that thunders through and really gets the ball rolling. This is then followed by “Ecstasy and Danger,” the title track and from there the hits keep on coming. “Stormbringer,” and “Storm Out,” amongst them.
Too Hot is next. “Too Hot,” the title track and “The Gardens of Marrakesh,” are some the most intriguing tracks alongside songs such as “Sign Of Life,” and “Endless Winterdays,” that batter through the podium to take the turning through.
Feelings Of Fury the final album in the set and boy what a way to go. “The Introduction,” is a galloping monster. “Samurai,” is epicness itself. “We Are The Ace,” concords through. Truly a fantastic album.
These reissues are out on 15th September via High Roller Records.
