The album that defined a genre and an age comes to digital on 10th May, and as such I was given the pleasure of reviewing it beforehand.

“Vinegar Man,” is both chaotic and vibrant. With some big guitar hooks and vocal melodies, it shifts and turns, bringing in some fascinating elements whilst at the same time sticking the finger up at normalcy. “Dead Man On Ice,” is slow, thoughtful, and vibrant. It brings with it an interesting mixture of chaotic rhythms and soulful interludes. “Part One,” is heavy. Bringing into being some truly dark riffs and a powerful mixture of one upmanship. “Worship,” mixes elements of jazz and funk together into a powerful mix to ensure the listener is hooked and intrigued. “I Wish,” is calmer, more thoughtful and at the same time darker and chaotic. Filling in with mixed images and messages.

“Chilly,” takes turns shifting and changing, bringing about some fascinating road work. The guitars move into overdrive on the song, driving the change and bringing about some serious shift. “RBTK,” is another song that veers into new elements, this time bringing a bit of the orient and the east to the fore, with a sizeable hammer to the face. “Part Two,” geers up and smashes things down with a hammer and a fist. “Marblelous,” is slow, haunting and ethereal. A true reckoning.

The album is out on 10th May via Growl Records.
