“Run With The Devil,”starts off proceedings for Me And That Man, a song that is filled with groovy energy and an infectious beat. A song that takes the listener on an interesting journey. It dips and dives, before exploding with some fascinating turns.

“Coming Home,” swaggers and grooves. There’s a real sense of that old time feel to this song. A sense that it will expand and build before coming in strong for all those who listen to it. Those vocals are haunting.

“Burning Churches,” is psychedelic. A song that veers from one edge to another, crucially tipping the scale to another point and then grabbing everything by the throat and bringing it to boil.

“By The River,” goes for swampy feeling. Ihsahn of Emperor reckoning adds his voice and his talents to this monster of a song. It turns and boils with energy, a completely different turn and story. One which burns with passion and fury.

“Mestwo,” goes through a darkened turn. A song that really brings out some interesting turns for Me and That Man. The vocals approach this from a call and response angle, there’s a haunting turn to it, and you can tell this will get the listener hooked.

“Surrender,” goes in big for the noise and the sound, it’s gospel, but on stereoids.

“Deep Down South,” goes all guns blazing, twisting the side and bringing forth an energy and a freneticism that is reminiscent of Nergal’s main work. A brilliantly executed song.

“Man Of The Cross,” ventures forth into the void, delivering something that is much needed and badly desired. A song that takes everything in the world, mixes it up into a cocktail and then spits it out into venom and a haunting tune.

“You Will Be Mine,” brings Matt Heafy centre stage, taking the turn of the dial, bringing out a slow moving bluesy twist and shift. A song that is stripped back and relaxed, with the frenzy building in the background.

“How Come?” featuring Corey Taylor and more is filled to the brim with epic turns and twists. A song that really gets people going and brings the feeling to the brink. A song that truly shows off just where and how the listener is meant to be enjoying things.

“Confession,” haunts the playground and turns it into a darkened soul searching exercise.

The album is out on March 27th via Napalm Records. Don’t be a fool, go and get this!
