Madre Sun venture into the realm of heaviness on their new E.P.

“Black River,” starts proceedings off, shifting through tempos and gears until it reaches the right feeling that slowly and subtly shifts things into overdrive. The song feels like a call to arms, a subtle dig toward perfection and chaos. “Trick Up The Sleeve,” slows things down and gets contemplative. Shifting through and delivering something that flits through the world and delivers perfection and cascades of melody.

“Our Way,” mixes it up, going in for the jugular, twisting the snake and unleashing some seriously groovy riffs that capture the imagination and speed it along the highway. “Puzzle,” turns the dial up from a seven to eleven, and never stops going. It keeps pushing the limits until it reaches conclusion.
