Lords of Black are back with an insanely groovy album.

“Dying To Live Again,” hits on something special. The opening salvo gets the listener engaged and as chaos is unleashed the bombasity of the song truly comes home to roost. “Into The Black,” is a riff machine. The song swaggers on the back of the opening riffs and pushes through for all to see. It hits hard and delivers something simply spectacular, truly a great combination. “Deliverance Lost,” slams down and hits the accelerator, pushing things through the turnstile. It smashes down the boundaries of time and space, allowing for the listener to truly get engaged in the world.

“Closer To Your Fall,” is simply epic. That opening riff and lead exchange is the stuff of dreams. It saunters into being and then pushes everything forward. Something that very few can pull off successfully. “Shadows Kill Twice,” gets things going with a piano melody that engages all of the senses. A song that wraps itself in melody and darkness and catapults its protagonists toward the stars of time. “Disease In Disguise,” hits home and delivers a serious push for all to see. A song that combines groovy harmonies with soulful imaginations. A song that contains swagger and power all in one go.

“Tides Of Blood,” is epic. A song that lets you know from the very beginning what it’s about. It hits hard, it is filled with passionate riffs and a soaring melody. “Alchemy Of Souls,” the title track is simply phenomenal. A song that stretches the length of time, pushing things through toward the subtleties of the human mind. At ten minutes long it is the longest song on the record, but also the most phenomenal. “You Came To Me,” softly finishes things up.

A great album out on November 6th via Frontiers Music.
