Lordi have achieved a great many things, they first shot to prominence in 2003, and now they’re back with a live album to take the cake.
“Sexorcism,” starts things off with a blistering thundering riff and a charging melody. “Would You Love A Monsterman,” is anthemic and defying. “Mr Killjoy,” is a snarling beast that tangles through with a fantastic riff. “Rock The Hell Outta You,” is another defying monster of a song, shifting through the pastures and levelling everything in sight. “Your Tongue’s Got The Cat,” bites and shapes through the wind without letting go. “Missing Miss Charlene,” is another song that drives through, getting the crowd suitably amped. “Heaven Sent Hell On Earth,” veers this way and that, before snaking through the wind. “It Snows In Hell,” slows things down with a nice bit of piano. “Blood Red Sandman,” demolishes the curtain call. “She’s A Demon,” veers slowly together to the point of deliverance.
“Slashion Model Girls,” gallops toward the destination before it. “Naked In My Cellar,” combines an odd melody line with some brutal hooks. “Rock Police,” is yet another anthemic song with a driving melody. “Hug You Hardcore,” veers one way and then another, before demolishing with a powerful grit riff. “Evilyn,” slows things down a slight tad before amping them up once more. “The Riff,” is fast and riff based with a lot of fun thrown in for good. “Nailed By The Hammer of Frankenstein,” is a shifting mover of a song. “Who’s Your Daddy,” is funky and eclectic. “Devil Is A Loser,” takes a turn and hammers the heavy down. “Hard Rock Hallelujah,” the song that got them on the board closes things out with great pomp and circumstance.
The album is out on 26th July via AFM Records.
