“Midnight Bite,”comes in with a brilliant piano melody that instantly grabs the listener’s attention. When the guitars come in, you know that you’re going to be in for a treat. As the song progresses that feeling only increases. A perfectly executed opener.

“Broken Mirror,” goes for the darkened feeling. The guitars repeated riff makes the listener feel as though there is something cautious and ominous looming across the horizon.

“Fe Infinita,” mixes the acoustic with the choral perfectly, ensuring the listener has got a beautifully crafted mix of textures to play with.

“Blood and Gold,” the title track of the album comes swooping in with bold strokes, and a harmonised guitar lead that is to die for. A song that is mixed together excellently and in a manner that is sure to bring the listener infinite pleasure.

“Martyrium,” haunts the outer edges, slowly but surely bringing things to their fitting climax. A song that is well crafted and moulded together. A song that deserves all the plaudits.

“If I Never Sing Another Song,” is filled with bold pronouncements fitting of the title of the song. The instrumentation is flawless and the vocals soar to ever greater heights.

“Solace,” gets the heaviness going. The duelling guitars are a very nice touch and ensure that the listener knows just what’s happening before them.

“Shadow Play,” becomes heaviness incarnate and slowly weaves itself into the fabric of the listener.

“Perfect Tragedy,” finishes everything off with a mighty send off.

The album is out on 20th March via Massacre Records
