What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences and are they the same as when you started out?
Unfortunately, we don’t really have a great story for the name! It has been around since 2015 and it was just something that we thought was cool at the time. I’m pretty sure growing up in number 13 in my street as a kid and the fact that my parents got married on Friday the 13th had something to do with it! Influence wise, I’d put our sound somewhere in the realm of Alter Bridge and Alice in Chains…Personally, I listen to lots of different types of music so I have lots of different influences. I absolutely love the Beatles, Ravi Shankar, Charles Aznavour…lots of people you wouldn’t think of when you listen to our music, but it has an influence there somewhere!
How and why do you write what you do?
For me, 99% of the time it starts with the music before the lyrics or vocal melody…I was primarily a guitar player, not a songwriter as a teenager, so for me I might come up with a riff or chord progression that I think is cool and start to build the song from there. Normally, I’ll hear some sort of melody over the top for vocals and we go from there!
That’s a good question! Since I was a kid I’ve always loved great riff based music, heavy guitars, powerful vocals etc. So I think I’m just trying to write stuff that as a listener, I’d like to listen to.

What plans do you have for the future?
Our plan for 2024 is to continue releasing singles followed by our album. After that, we intend on doing lots of touring to promote it! Keep an eye out on our social media to see upcoming gigs 🙂
