What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences and are they the same as when you started out?
A: I used to play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons, that was the name of one of my characters, I thought it was unique enough that no one else would have it, and Darkwood kinda helps with the mystery.
My influences musically are the 80’s/90’s rock metal bands
How do you approach songwriting?
A: I don’t think there’s a particular theme I go for, just things that I experience and feel.
When I feel something would make a good song, I write it down, write the feelings and words that come to me, in no particular order, then go back and arrange them in a format that ‘makes sense’

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
A: I want to inspire people, to have them be able to relate to things I sing about, and let them know they aren’t alone if that is how they are feeling.
Live?
A: I am a new artist and this is my first single so the obvious thing I would do is just perform my new single. I have been a professional karaoke artist for many years so perhaps I would perform my song at a couple of those shows with some really good friends and fans.

What plans do you have for the future?
A: I want to write lots more songs, and move to the live scene eventually.
