“No Plaything,” comes barrelling in with a straight drum pattern before moving into the atmospheric patterns of the melodies and riffs. It dances along the pathway adding some fascinating twists and turns to the fore. “Enchanted,” is a dark sonnet to the critical phrases of the past, which shift and turn outwards and forwards. “Messengers of Hope,” snakes through, bringing epic vocals to the fore. “Temptation,” drives on the back of a thunderous drum riff, before clinging together and driving forward.
“Touched By An Angel,” produces a masterclass in shifting the tone and the makeup of the song, something that is a damn sight hard to do. “The Gift,” is an acoustic masterpiece, throwing together elements of riffs and plain sailing. “Fading Dreams,” grows with the synth melodies which interact quite nicely together. “A Time I Was Free,” finishes off with a nice little dart.
