HALO & Hologram
What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences and are they the same as when you started out?
We had several proposals, including Halo and Hologram … and we simply mixed both names into one and we liked the sound of it. Our influences are classic bands such as Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, through Metallica, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Helloween, Angra, Dream Theater, this actual times :Gojira, Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Plini, Intervals…
How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?
We write about day to day issues such as the victims of war, terrorist attacks, or our path as human being in the future. We tend to write of what is actually happening in the world… maybe the next theme would be something about climate change or Pandemic diseases…. We will see

GUITAR RIFF LOVER
Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
I've always been a guitar riff lover. I use to like bands that I love their instrumental side but not liking the vocalist. Also since childhood I have always listened to instrumental music and I have always loved it. I listened to people from Mike Oldfield to Joe Satriani or Steve Vai.
Maybe that's the reason I write mostly instrumental music.
How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?
Well, that is still a work in process. We are still deciding how to deliver this project into live. But one thing that we have very clear is to combine the music with some visuals, something similar that Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson did and are currently doing in their shows. It will be something very special and hopefully the audience will have an amazing experience that would be difficult to forget.
