“The Destination Onward,” starts off the new album by metal titans Fates Warning. The song combines all the elements together into one grooving shredding and epic fest. “Shuttered World,” brings the heaviness to the table, cutting through the bone dried meat and delivering the goods once more. A song that really gets itself into the listener’s skin. “Alone We Walk,” amps up the pressure. The staccato riff really gets things going. The tone is set and the band run with it.

“Scars,” shimmers on the periphery, pushing and twisting, demanding to be heard and listened to as the world comes crashing through the barricades. “Begin Again,” slows things down ever so slightly, allowing for groove and patience to take command, showing just how diverse the band are. “When Snow Falls,” wraps itself in the identity of the melody, turning through the barricades to produce something intriguing and inspiring.

“Glass Houses,” beings the heaviness back, turning the screws and demolishing what stands before it. “The Longest Shadow Of The Day,” is slow, melodical, thoughtful, and at once twisted, defiant and epic. “The Last Song,” brings things to a fitting conclusion. It turns on a knife’s edge, drawing the turnstile of time toward some sweet conclusions.

The album is out on 6th November via Metal Blade Records.
