EVILDEAD are back with their first new album in almost thirty years, and boy is it a good one.

“The Descending,” is good old fashioned thrash metal, a song that has a smashing riff and a terrifying velocity. It rings through and demands to be heard. A great way to start. “Word Of God,” is next and it is a similar battering ram. A song that mixes together the terrifying impulses of the world with something darker and sinister. A fantastic thrash metal song. “Napoleon Complex,” takes on the ills of our leaders and hands them out in head banging inducing riffs that smash the chord and deliver a solid push.

What follows is something else entirely.

“No Difference,” gets a bit jazzy, twisting and turning through chordal progressions before shimmering into something darker and heavier. “Blasphemy Divine,” is a rager of a song snarling through and twisting into one. “Seed Of Doubt,” is the pressurising release valve that delivers something quite contrary and diligent to proceedings, ensuring all stand firm.

The album is out on 30th October via Steamhammer/SPV
