Death Dealer, the heavy metal supergroup return with a terrifying new album entitled Conquered Lands.
“Sorcerer Supreme,” kicks off proceedings. It shreds, roars and snarls, hooking the listener in right from the beginning and ensuring that when the first hook hits, they are immediately engulfed and engaged. A brilliantly concocted song. “Every Nation,” batters the ground with a frenetic riff and rhythm section. The interchange on these songs is something else entirely. It switches between frenetic energy and subtle chaos. A great way to keep the momentum going. “Beauty and the Blood,” slows things down ever so slightly, and increases the haunting awesomeness of proceedings. It flushes the line, turning the screws to the right and then delivers something completely out of left field.
“Conquered Lands,” the title track of the album is supreme. It delivers something that can only be described as epic heaviness and awesomeness. The story that it unwinds shows off something powerful, delightful and addictive. That opening vocal line is something that will get people singing along for days. “Hail To The King,” gallops along the wind, swishing through the tumultuous tempestuous waves of melody to bring about something epic and story worthy. “Slay Or Be Slain,” is another monster of a song. It switches between thrasher and simply epic metal without breaking a sweat, truly an awesome song that brings a truly grim story to life.
Finishing up with “Born To Bear The Crown,” shows exactly what Death Dealer is all about. The song is filled with powerful melodies, gruesome riffs and a terrifying lyric.
This amazing album is out on 13th November via Steel Cartel.
