Newcaslte Upon Tyne’s very own Culloden present their new collection of songs in Witchpricker a mighty jamming collection of heavy metal greatness.

It starts with the pounding grace of “Lindisfarme,” which slowly works its way into a galloping masterpiece. The instrumentation makes this song downright heavy and in some places downright terrifying. Excellently done. “Hills of Culloden,” a song about history’s finest rogue Prince, it shifts and changes as the Prince himself changes. Going from heavy and optimistic to dark and foreboding.

“Witchpricker,” the title track from the record, is downright terrifying and heavy, bringing about some serious groove and magnetism. “Red Cliff,” is a pounding tribute to all that is good and right about heavy metal. The bass line is insane.

The album is out on June 24th via Heathen Tribes.
