Another classic album by this legendary band gets the reissue treatment, this time Storm Warning.
Starting with the doom of Count Raven, one can tell that they are going to be in for a serious treat when things really kick off. Inam Naudemina proves that right with a brutal riff packaged with thumping drums and a soaring vocal line. True Revelation is doom metal at its best, with big pounding guitars and slinkering drums, and a vocal line to chill the bones. In The Name of Rock n’ Roll is Black Sabbath epic, a song that has everything, big guitars, big drums and a big vocal hook. Sometimes a Great Nation is slower, more foreboding and definitely chilling.
Within The Garden of Mirrors is pounding, solid and furious, a true metal anthem and a song that deserves to be played as loudly as possible. A Devastating Age is a mix of epicness and doom and doom epicness thrown in together, and the result is the perfect blend of metal and power. How Can It Be is powerful, with big great shattering rhythms and guitar riffs, the vocals soar through the stereo. Social Warfare is a mix of classic melodies and brutal riffage, a combination that paints a very beautiful picture. Demos High Beliefs and Frightened Eyes Never Lie are furious and confrontational in the best sense.
Be sure to get this record when it is released on 27th April via Metal Blade Records.
