DISRUPTIONS
What inspired the name of the band and what are your influences?
Our name came from an elementary teacher of our singer, Vlad. His teacher who told him that his disruptions in class were a waste of time. Vlad obviously never forgot these words as he grew up and it eventually became the name of the band. He eventually grew up to become a well-behaved boy. Mostly.
Our main collective influence are pop-punk bands such as Green Day, Blink-182 and MxPx. As far as individual influences go, Vlad is a huge fan of Alkaline Trio, Mark loves Against Me!, and Mike listens to Joy Division a lot.
How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?
Vlad writes the lyrics, melodies and main chord progressions of our songs. He usually sends the rest of the band demos of just him singing along with his acoustic guitar and eventually the band fleshes out the final arrangement of the song in band practice.

LOVE
Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
We currently write music that can be labelled as pop-punk because it’s a genre that we all love, and we’d like to do our part in keeping it alive and well.
How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?
We usually end up playing our most recent material and anything older that we still know how to perform without too many flaws. Occasionally we get requests too that we’re more than happy to fulfil at shows.

FRENCH
What plans do you have for the future?
We plan to release our latest single, “My Limited French” soon on July 24th. Check it out on your favourite streaming services on that date! We’ll be releasing a video for it shortly thereafter too on YouTube. Our second full length tentatively entitled, “Once More Without Feeling” will follow in the fall. We also plan to play live as much as we can once we’re allowed to.
