An Interview with Titan Killer
GRAFFITI
What inspired the name of the band and what are your influences?
The idea to form a band was born already when Jan, our Guitar player was still living in Prague. It was in the bar “Graffiti” (R.I.P) when he and Moritz (Bass) met. Moritz suggested to get his long time friend Alex as drummer. He helped the band to get a rehearsal room and we started rehearsing some material we had. We were searching for a singer and second guitarist and we found Flo for guitar and we did not have a singer, so we asked our friend Max and he just sang, and it was angelic … I mean, satanic, grrr!
Why do you write the songs that you do?
Everybody can get something from a good song, no matter what the story is. It is our goal to make music for the people to enjoy, we want them to get something from it. Every musician tells a story – this is ours!

READYMADE LIVE
How do you approach translating your songs live?
We write them for live purposes mostly. We are not a studio band, we love to get on stage and play shows. It makes little sense to us to write a piece and not be able to perform it live without backing tracks. We want to get our message to the people by playing our music the way we feel it, not by stick to some click to be in sync with the backing track. And we want to have fun while doing it! So our songs are playable live without adaption, we might make change the arrangement a bit for recording purposes.
How has the coronavirus impacted you?
Besides from cancellation of upcoming shows? We reorganised the way of writing together and becoming more productive with the little we have left besides our day jobs. Worked our pretty well, we are working on new songs and some of them are in good shape already! \m/
