What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences?
I’m a solo artist so use my real name
How do you approach songwriting? Are there any themes that you are keen to explore when you start off?.
Each album I create has a central theme as they progress from album to album. Themes move from earth and space to sex to empowerment and survival.

Why do you write the sort of music that you do?
It took years and years to finally get my sound which is a mix of rock synth rock punk cinematic and wave. In a word its rock n roll but modern. Interestingly i write mostly visually seeing the scene. I suppose that’s where my sometimes cinematic sound comes in. But I write with full emotion of that scene or subject. I can’t leave out the fact that we have influences from what we have been brought up with and styles. But I know structurally I write and record in my own sound and style now. There are some reminiscent hints of peers but we are all influenced. As time goes on we find a place that is ours.
How do you decide what songs to perform live and how do you transpose them into that live setting?
If it’s on a bigger stage, it’s good to build an atmosphere and excitement through a big intro. Then walk on stage last behind the band. Start with a very up-tempo track and keep that building. I may only play something slower depending on the occasion and what the audience want – I tend to read them well before I go on stage. I have created so much new material between my last gig and now, that I will think hard at which I can start with.

What plans do you have for the future?
Well, I am currently recording the next album, which I’m halfway through creating. It won’t be coming out until maybe October or next February. I’m loving this new album – it’s tighter, fuller, stronger, darker but still rock and punk with huge anthemic tracks. I’ll be working towards a new video and track from the next album to be released by the early summer.
