What inspired the name of the band? What are your influences and are they the same as when you started out?

My name is Ara Ara, but with numbers 4ra 4ra, like a gaming nickname where you need to use numbers instead of letters for accessibility. ‘Ara Ara’ is something like ‘Oh my,’ said by a cougar woman in anime or an expression of surprise. I chose it because it’s a sort of meme and it’s a part of my real name, Klara.

Additionally, various video games, anime, and fine arts inspire me. As a gamer and virtual space colonizer, I would like to write songs about virtual realms.

How and why do you write what you write?

I bring concepts from my mind to the table, occasionally conducting a bit of research beforehand. I also enjoy discussing new ideas with an A.I. Then, I engage in a brainstorming session, experimenting and playing with the entire process. I usually handle everything that comes to mind simultaneously, including music production, lyrics, and singing. If an idea strikes me, I feel the immediate need to bring it to life.

I was that type of kid who was raised by video games and anime series, born to the internet era so I inclined to imagined cultures of master minds. I was mostly at home doing my crafts or being a part of some virtual culture, playing VR chats in my tweens and chatting with people from all around the world. This is why I do cyber pop.

Live?

I am reversed about this question. I play almost all my songs live, but not every one is released. And how do I decide to release a song? Have no idea about the schema of it  if I feel it, I will release it. I’m learning the new live technique right now that involves audio and visuals syncopation through a MIDI player. Visuals are crucial to me as I am also a digital artist and 3D avatars dance with me in my cybercore live shows.

What plans do you have for the future?

To learn more about creating without limitations and to prepare an international tour are my current goals. My dream also includes developing the 4ra 4ra’s Realm mobile app with AR interactions activated during my live shows. As a 3D fashion designer, I’d like to explore the creation of AR merch as well.
