“Below The Sun,”kicks things off. From the start you can tell that Ahab are really feeling it. The riffs, the groove, the general tempo of the song and the variations that are added all flow very nicely together. There’s a sense that the band are experiencing something close to divinity as they hit the crescendo.

“The Pacific,” slowly moves toward complete destruction, middling the ranges together and shoving in the powerful strides of man.

“Old Thunder,” pushes the boundaries through the tide. The rhythms and the riffs are on point throughout and the melodies soar into being.

“Ahab’s Oath,” is a soaring collection of melodies and tones that push the boundaries of what is and isn’t acceptable. It sores through the bleeding sun and delivers something powerful.

“The Hunt,” finishes proceedings off with a collective roar into the abyss.

Be sure to get this album when it is released on 26th June via Napalm Records.
