“Weekday Refugee,”starts off unexpectedly with an acoustic guitar. The acoustic melody is an interesting choice, for it lulls the listener into a sense of security. As the drums slowly begin their introduction, one feels that something is about to twist. The twist comes a minute in with the rampant guitar riffs flowing through like a mad man on a chase for the time of his life. They barrel through into being and really get things going.
“Stay Away,” keeps the rampage going, slowly rolling with the punches and smashing through every possible boundary that might be there. The listener is hooked from the instant the song starts, and when the vocals come in, you know you’re in for a good time.
“Ge Allt,” continues the rampage. Delivering a snake eyed middle finger into oblivion and twisting through the screws until everyone is left panting and demanding more.
“City of Sin,” gallops on through, turning the screws and shimmering into the light. The song is an energising one and one that you just know will get people turning into the pit when performed live.
The album is out on 27th March via High Roller Records.
