“Martyrs Of The Storm,”starts of this new album by Egypt’s Scarab. Hauntingly etched into the minds of the listener it works its way through. Slowly turning the screws before the guttural snarls of destruction come floating through to demand retribution.

“Necropotence,” is a riff sandwich. These are things that get thrown together and they produce something that swings with great intensity and burns into the listener’s mind. As the song progresses, the insanity continues.

“Kingdoms Of Chaos,” is call to arms, a song that produces an adventurous spirit and shifts the temperature several degrees higher as the destructive tendencies of mankind are revealed.

“Blood Moon Shadows,” is a war cry. A song that fills the listener with a sense of dread, and a sense that something absolutely terrifying is lurking around the corner.

“Circles Of Verminejya,” is a headbanging song that delivers on the promise and glory of the initial war cry. A song that shifts itself together and weaves a tapestry of destruction for all to see.

“The Dwellers Beneath,” haunts the listener. A song that slowly bleeds into being and subtly changes the contour of the medium before unleashing absolute hell.

“Oblivious Sanctum,” a song that rolls hard and fast.  The guitars roll in hard and punch way above the measurements for normality. As the song continues, a gut punching sense of inevitability continues through the world.

“Coffin Texts,” snarls and snaps. Biting the listener hard, and bringing the sense of ancient Egyptian lore and melancholy right to the fore.

“Saturnian,” goes in hard and delivers everything with a whip snap.

“Upon The Pagan Lands,” finishes things off in style, a song that is epic from back to front.

The album is out on 6th March via Black Lodge.
