“Upon Humanity,” comes barrelling on the back of a fast and furious riff. It slowly takes the turn this way and that to loosen the chords around it and wraps through the ever growing cycle. “A THousand Voices,” comes in hard with a seriously grooving riff that takes the time through the burning desire to grow and shape the world around it. “Breath,” slows things down slightly, allowing a slight change in tempo and feel and bringing it all together in the grand finale. “Edge of Knife,” is a ripper, a riff raging monster of a song that grows and shimmers. “Freaking Out,” is another ripper. It slants through and swaggers and growls with purpose.
“Hands from Hell,” is a rocker, quickly upping the tempo and turning the shifting winds of the world. “Open Sky,” changes the tempo, making it more reflective and honest. Turning things one way and then another. “Slave of Time,” is a great epic, a song that weaves together different elements of the time immemorial and presents them in a new context. “Weapon,” closes things out with pomposity and bombast.
