The Ferrymen

“Don’t Stand In My Way,” sways and shelters through. The orchestral arrangements in the beginning are simply something else out of this world. As the song truly kicks off the listener is treated to a great many things that sweep and swoop down. Brutality soon comes into play, making this one hell of an opener. “Bring Me Home,” thunders into being. Chasing the ground around the edges of sanity, the piano and the guitars work well together to follow through on something new and chasing. “A New Evil,” the title track has some seriously grooving riffs, bringing together different elements of the metallic contingent and soaring into being. “The Night People Rise,” is slow and then anthemic. Taking charge one step at a time, to shift the pace through the elements, and ensure the listener knows just where the darkness is. “Save Your Prayers,” takes a charge and follows through, bringing the orchestral and dark elements to light, shifting through and hollowing away at everything that comes and is. “Heartbeat,” is slowed down, and mournful, bringing the energy of the pace to the fore.

“Our Own Heroes,” comes roaring into being. Smashing down the doors of sanity, changing things up and bringing together different elements from this world and the next. “No Matter How Hard We Fall,” takes and shifts, shimmering along the line between this world and the next. Slowly but surely, it takes things to a heavier plateau. “My Dearest Fear,” growls through the world, slowly bringing it all into one big mess of the state of everything. “You Against The World,” combines big, bold guitar lines, with a melody that shifts through the line of grace, and produces something quite compact and meaningful. “All We Got,” finishes things off with a nice piano melody, shifting through the tenor and slowly growing into something more.

The album is out on October 11th via Frontiers Music.
