“The Open Arms, The Open Wounds,” begins with a soaring melody, as the guitars chime in together, shifting the pace and the beat, slowly they begin to move toward a heavier motif. The song becomes heavier and more epic as it progresses, the vocals add to this with their heavy and layered measure. “The Crimson Fortress,” a song that shimmers and bounds with endless energy, showing off where it goes and turns. A real journey that shows just how good this band truly is.
“The Spell of Concealment,” is a darkened dirge that shows off just where the melodical elements range. As the world ventures through the song, one gets the feeling that there is a deeply hidden story lurking within the midst. Truly an epic story. “Fallen Alphas and the Rising,” bounds with grace and energy. Snarling and pacing through the world. It takes time to bring about something truly epic of Sabbath proportions.
The album is out on 13th September via High Roller Records.
