The Greek Thrashers return for their sophomore album, and this one promises to build on the work of their debut and take the band onto even more stratospheric heights.

“Cutting Edge,” the first song on the record begins with a barrelling riff, before the shredding guitar solo takes over. The entire song is built around this snarling riff that is best demonstrated through the snarling vocals that really let the listener know the band means business. “Day VIII Deus’ Ignorance,” begins with a thunderous bass riff, it soon shifts into something else, a darkened pulsating monster that will destroy anything and everything that comes within range. “The Sickening,” brings about a snarling mishmash of riffs and constructs them into one of the most brutal songs yet released this year. “Dark City,” snarls and brings the heightened tension and growth of powerful riffs right to the fore with some smashing work.

“Dehumanized,” batters the living shit out of the listener. Taking them on a journey of frenetic energy and chaotic good will, which shows just which way the band is going with this tale. “Crux, Nux, Lux,” swaggers and jolts through the memories of pain and grace, before taking things up a whole new level. “The Eye,” beats the listener to a pulp and then picks them up and lets them back into the pit for some more. “Culling,” simply brutal. “Love Me Forever,” slows things down and slowly works its way into fruition for the time immemorial.

The album is out on 23rd August via Steamhammer/SPV.
