“The Storm,” starts things off with a rattling drum sound, as the vocals come in, the sounds begin mixing together and shifting through one another. Adding an extra sense of anticipation and something massive coming. The pay off comes with the thundering of the guitars and the snarling vocal melodies. “Kids With Guns,” weaves itself into the chaotic tapestries of the world, shifting through the power and movement. “White Flag,” snarls and booms with the best, shifting through tones and allowing some partial growth before completely going mad. “Sarah,” slows things down, the piano introduction sets the tone quite nicely. Bringing something interesting to the dynamic. “Don’t Tell Me Your Name,” is grimy, with some interesting beats in the background feeding into the feeling. “Fools Gold,” brings the heaviness back in droves. Shifting through the lines and allowing chaos to bleed through. “Ratata,” brings some fascinating lines and melodies. Slowly weaving itself through the bite and ensuring the growth continues.
“Nothing Like Me,” is biting and filled with aggression of the good sort. It shifts and changes, and swings around like a mad man. “Lions,” slows things down a little, and brings a nice little reflective edge to proceedings. “Heavyweight Champion,” takes on a different tone, bringing some serious bite and reflection to the fore and allowing a heaviness mandate to come into being. “Rise,” shifts the tone of things, and allows for an aggrieved persons to be taken through the roof. “Let This Be All,” another softer more melodic song that adds into depth and conversation. “Sayonara,” is interestingly fused together, showing an added edge and depth of feeling. “Dance In The Fire,” bangs all the way and growls with precision and competence.
The album is out on 23rd August via Napalm Records.
