“Mastering Fire,” is haunting and shifting, bringing with it some fascinating changes, and an edge that it will twist the knife in throughout. “Departure,” is another blistering lament that twists the knife in just a little bit more, to ensure the listener is hooked. “Initiation,” takes the bait and hooks you in with some seriously big riffs and soaring melodies that dictate just where it will be going soon enough. “Second Sight,” slowly brings the turn, shifting this way and that, without pause and ensuring the listener knows just where to turn.
“Raw Bones,” is raw, very raw, but also incredibly powerful, it takes a shift in tone and keeps it energised to ensure the listener knows just where to look. “Tempest’s Chant,” is a chant and a half with the electric pulsating rhythms in the fusion. “Sorcerer,” is anthemic and deep, a real fitting closer.
The album is out now via Prosthetic Records.
