“Battalion,” has a slow build but when it gets going, it really gets going. A song that soars through on a driving riff and a crunching melody. One that immediately hits the hook and never lets go. The listener is hooked from first whistle.
“Hellbound,” gets a bit bluesy, shifting the tendril through and slowly moving the wreckage forward. As it hits it grows into the presence chamber of time.
“Midnight,” the title track of the record hits hard. A soaring riff that builds itself into a crescendo wraps around a brutal vocal line that immediately hits within the lines of time. A song that creeps into position and unleashes hell.
“Dead Man Walking,” runs the gamut, slowly leveraging chaos and peace. A song that hints at something more whilst never quite revealing everything at one. Prescient to the core.
“Cold Day In Hell,” haunts. The bass line takes a turn for the guttural clench. A song that rummages and twists, burning with frequent light and freight.
“Waiting For God,” hits the hammer hard, bringing together the turnaround. A song that smashes the development forward and through, ending the catapult and leveraging chaos.
This is a phenomenal album and it’s out on 29th April via From The Vaults.
