The album that kickstarted Metallica’s career is back with its fifteenth iteration.
“Masked and Deadly,” by Midnight kicks things off. It is a furious assault on the senses. A song that weaves itself through the turntables and delivers power and grace. A great start.
“Master of Extremity,” by Fuming Mouth is another relentless onslaught, one that moves through the shifting strands of time with great confidence and ability. A song that hits the hammer just right.
“Leave The Light Behind,” by Temple of Void, is slow moving, a thoughtful, impactful and innovative song. It turns the dial back by several decades and hits at something renewable.
“Omega,” by Rude,” rips through the shreds and delivers pain and grace.
“Warrior Witch of Hel,” by Smoulder turns the screws and hints at something even more terrifying.
A great collection and one that is out on 21st May via Metal Blade.
