“BTKOR,” is a riff sandwich. A song that grooves and jives with perfection, swaggering on through without a care in the world. The vocals turn in and out and get the listener pumped up.
“Rock Kids of the 80s,” gets an anthemic feel to it with the staccato riffs, and the vocals bring the feeling of the past, a nostalgia for what was and what could’ve been. A song that really lets the listener dive into what was there and what wasn’t.
“Set The Night On Fire,” turns the dials up several notches. A song that brings with it an intriguing measurement of time and space. Hitting all the right notes for the pressurepoints.
“Insects,” goes all out. A heavy rocking machine gun song.
“The Trade,” slows things down, bringing the blues more firmly to the forefront of the listener’s mind. The vocals turn and twist, wrapping themselves in ivory for the purpose of distorting the narrative.
“Woodstock To Vietnam,” is a ripper of a song. It brings in the tensions of the old and mixes it with the tensions of the new.
“Bury The Ocean,” finishes things off. A song that dips into the reverie and then emerges with the pulsating rhythms of time and enchantment.
The album is out on 7th May.
