What’s changed since the last record?
We have a new member Jonatan Samuelssson. He is an excellent bassplayer, singer and songwriter. So with him in the band we have approached the original vision of a band where all four members are equal frontmen. All four members sing lead on the title track which we find pretty cool. So over all all members are more involved in singing and writing.
Has your songwriting approach changed?
We don’t think about what when we write but of course this album will sound slightly different from the previous. Maybe this album has more of AOR-Pop-songs such as “Kairi”, “Kisses of an enemy” and “Spaceplane” but on the other hand harder material than ever before like ”Pleasuredome” and ”Hotter than fire”.

Can you talk us through the themes explored on the record?
STARMEN writes/sings about love like many others because its the greatest gift between humans. (Kairi, Hotter than fire, Black thunder white lightning and more)
Another topic that we find important to sing about is how we treat our planet and that we have to change our way to make it last. (Spaceplane, Peoples parade)
The titletrack “By the grace of rock n´roll” is kind of a anthem were we sing to our fans to join our vision like Queens “We will rock you.”
What are your plans for promoting the record?
We work with our distributors Sound Pollution who do terrific work, with promoting STARMEN around the globe. We try to do as much videos to the songs so when you visit our site on YouTube you will find a lot of material to look into.
