Iron Mask, the power metal sensations return with a pagan mythology infused album that truly delivers the goods.
“Never Kiss The Ring,” is the symphonic infused opener that turns and pivots through the whirlwind of time. It hits hard with a bombastic riff whilst pressing into the dynamic shutterclock that the vocals bring forth. A solid opener. “Tree Of The World,” delivers a celtic infused tinge to proceedings. The melodies gets a galloping, the guitars pushing forth into the vast beyond, whilst the vocals turn and twist on the pathway to enlightenment. “Revolution Rise,” brings forth the anthemic feeling that Iron Mask are so good at compiling. The rhythm is a straight ahead rocker whilst the vocals rise from one periphery to another. “One Against All,” smashes into reality and breaks it down, bit by bit, to ensure the whirlwind comes crashing in all around.
“Mist Of Loch Ness,” delivers something astounding. A song that burnishes the credentials of the world and delivers a seering precipous of time and space into the void. “My One and Only,” gets the ballad vibe on point, shimmering through the decadence of time to produce something fantastic. “A Mother Loved Blue,” slows things down, bringing contemplation to the fore. “Master of Masters,” the title track is suitably epic. Burnished with raging fire and forged into a song of steel and might, the song really captures the presence of time and space for all to see.
The album is out on 4th December via AFM Records.
