Dark Quarterer deliver something unique and refreshing on their latest album Pompei.

Songs such as “Vesuvius,” and “Welcome To The Day Of Death,” ring out like clarion calls. Demanding to be heard, whilst setting the scene for the battering rams that are to follow. They push the boundaries of time and space, slowly removing the tempest of time to something unique and dangerous.

The middle section is filled to the brim with passion and grace. “Panic,” is a raging screamer of a song that plays on the human emotion perfectly. It sets the scene for “Plinius the Elder,” perfectly. Plinius is a song that veers from one level to the next casually shifting the strands of time and lowering then increasing the bounds of time.

Finishing up on “Gladiator,” and “Forever,” was the right choice by the band as they are both songs that are atmospheric and powerful in their own right.

The album is out on November 6th.
