“Immortal,”kicks proceedings off with a beautifully heavy riff. The orchestration that accompanies the second go around adds to the sense of complete heaviness that is present in the song. When the vocals kick in, you know you’re in for a good time, and so it proves to be. An absolute belter of an opening song.
“Spread Your Fire,” gallops along the pathway like a mad man chasing something out there. As it twists through the battered lands, the listener is treated to something fresh and hopeful. The rhythm is completely in sync and the melodies are tight.
“Ten Years,” snaps and crackles with electricity. The introductory solo is simply fantastic and sets the tone for what is to come, that being some absolutely ballsy metal.
“Streets of Memory,” shifts the dial slightly, slowing proceedings down and becoming thoughtful. The vocals lead the way this time around, and there is more depth as a consequence.
“Hypnos,” is naturally hyponitising.
“Forget and Survive,” picks up the pace, unleashing complete chaos on the world. A song that gets the blood pumping and will no doubt get circle pits going when performed live.
“Just Ice,” is a mixed bag. Soft and melodic to begin with, it then becomes aggressive and epic as things progress. A song that really sets the bar at a new height.
“Missed,” shifts the dial forward, turning the screws and delivering something quite impressive.
“A Matter Of Time,” hits the bass hard. It also brings together a sense of collective energy and purpose that delves into the inner psyche of the listener.
“Somewhere,” finishes the album off in grand style. A song that captures the feeling of being in between worlds, with a subtle melody and a grand coda to complete things.
The album is out on 28th August via Rockshots Records.
