“Damned If You Do,” is a raring machine. A song that just cuts loose. It doesn’t care about who you are or where you’re from, it’s there to let you know that Haxan have arrived, in all their blistering glory. A fantastic opening song.

“Killing Time,” starts off with harmonies then moves into a swaggering riff that just decimates everything before it. Superbly executed and a song that is sure to get punters moving when performed live.

“Nine Lives,” gets the heart racing with its bass line groove and subtle drum inflections. The guitar slowly shits and turns and the vocals hit a punch.

“Grave Digger,” a song that contains a melody and a half. It rolls off the tongue, sharpening the curve and bringing together all sorts of infectious elements together.

“Louder Than Words,” pounds its way to fruition. That opening riff is something that will spark envy in a hell of a lot bands.

“Black Sheep,” grooves and shakes. It brings the house down and demands to be heard.

“Crash and Burn,” works in overtime, swaggering along with an infectious groove. The melodies around this song are simply to die for.

“Skeletons,” works the listener. Making them sink themselves into what is happening right before their eyes. It’s a monster of a song.

“Living Dead,” growls into perpetuity. Sinking its teeth into the listener and never letting go.

What an album, what a way to go.

Get this beauty when it’s out on 24th July.
